Passionate about people, technology and business.

I grew up in Windsor, Ontario, Canada (which I still proudly call my hometown).  I am insatiably passionate about many things and driven to succeed (sometimes even a little too much).  I am an extremely hard worker who never takes anything for granted.

As a professional

I work tremendously hard to be a better leader, technologist and business strategist. My lessons-learned experience (working at both well-funded and lean startups, Fortune 500 companies, and even, NPOs) has shaped my perspective on what it takes to build a successful business in today’s digital economy.

I get incredibly excited thinking about how technology will impact our lives over the next decade.

I co-created WhyHire.me, a cool startup that is focused on providing talented students with a career platform that enables them to document their experiences and get hired!  We’ve made a standard resume an interactive social object.

I have had the opportunity to speak at several events and workshops across Canada. Topics ranged from hacking your career, empowering our youth through digital leadership to power networking, and design thinking.

I love everything to do with emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and business strategy.

My core beliefs

• Do great things even with smallest opportunities.
• Surround yourself with ‘GENUINELY‘ good people
• Help others succeed (success does reciprocate)
• Build businesses that make meaning
• Relationship building and networking never ends
• Never (EVER) quit!  If failure is imminent, don’t lose slowly

A few more random things about me

• Exceedingly hard on myself to always reach for more (permanent chip on my shoulder)
• Certified professional engineer (Engineering Physics and Management)
• I would be best described as an “experimentalist”. My first entrepreneurial experience was re-selling video games that I modded.
• I’m passionate about helping students succeed (both in-and-out of the classroom)
• I genuinely care about the well-being of others (especially SickKids)
• I have a great appreciation for bootstrapping entrepreneurs
• open source supporter/developer/codie award recipient
• I’m addicted to all things web. Especially data measurement (analytics, churn, cohort metrics, etc.. )
• Enjoy espresso’s with cinnamon sprinkles (not emasculating at all)
• I love sports. I’m always up for a game of pickup basketball, soccer, hockey (just name it, I’m in)
• I was a teammate of OJ Atogwe, Washington Redskin during my high school football years (class act)
